Case: ×7 organic traffic in 8 months with PBN 3.0 + AIO

A financial service in the English-speaking market, a niche with expensive clicks and strong competitors. We show month by month how the network and AIO together delivered explosive growth.

Starting point

The project arrived with a trusted but 'stuck' site: 14,000 organic visits/month, positions 8–20 for high-volume queries, zero AI mentions. Classic link building moved positions by 1–2 spots and hit a ceiling: competitor profiles were far stronger.

Months 1–2: foundation

Two parallel tracks. For PBN — approval of 12 auction domains in the finance niche, infrastructure setup, content and boosting donors with Wikipedia and .edu links. For AIO — llms.txt, Schema, a map of 80 prompts and rewriting 20 key pages to a 'question → answer' structure.

Months 3–5: first impulse

  • Network sites got indexed and accumulated their own traffic; first links to hub pages — spread across time.
  • High-volume queries moved from positions 8–20 to 4–7; traffic grew to 31,000/month.
  • First citations in Perplexity and ChatGPT — from comparison pages rewritten in month 2.

Months 6–8: synergy

Network links reached the money pages and the project took top-3 for 60% of the high-volume keyword set. The rank growth pulled pages into AI Overviews sources, and AI answer mentions brought branded demand back into search — the loop closed. Month 8 result: 98,000 visits/month (×7), top-3 for 41 high-volume queries, 29% share of voice in AI systems across the prompt map.

Why it worked: PBN delivered controlled link weight where article placements couldn't be negotiated, and AIO converted improved rankings into answer presence. Each channel alone would have delivered ×2–3 — together the result was ×7.
